THE SIXTH COMBINED VESSEL RST54 PROJECT “BALT FLOT 5” HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED.
The sixth combined vessel “Balt Flot 5” RST54 project for sea-and-river-going vessels has been officially launched at the Oka shipyard Navashino, Nizhegorodsky region.
In September 2015, during NEVA-2015, The International Maritime Exhibition and Conferences of Russia, was signed a contract for the construction of 7 vessels. The Oka shipyard will construct 5 vessels including two RST-27 and three RST-54 tankers.
The tanker will be delivered to the customer upon completion of the fitting out and successful sea trials scheduled for May 2016.
The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA, UK) earlier included RST54 Project ships into the list of top 50 vessels for 2014.
RST54 project vessels of Volga-Don Max class meet the dimensions of the Volga-Don Ship Canal and Volga-Baltic Waterway. LOA – 140.85 m, beam – 16.6 m, depth – 6.0 m. Class of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping – M-ПР2,5 (ice30) А. Crew – 12 persons (14 places + pilot). Sea endurance – 20 days.
